French schools are placed under armed guard after Islamist terror threats over classroom ban on religious clothing

  Dozens of French schools have been placed under armed guard after more than 130 schools received Islamist terror threats over a national ban on wearing religious clothing. Fears of violent retaliation over law-enforced school policy come as the Jean-Perrin Lycée in Rezé, near Nantes, was evacuated Thursday, March 28, after students received videos showing beheadings, directed to an online portal for pupils, parents and staff. It followed similar “serious threats” containing “justification of and incitement to terrorism” sent out to 30 schools around Paris last week, and the resignation of a headteacher in the capital after receiving death threats for asking a pupil to remove her Islamic head-covering. Police were ordered to patrol the Maurice-Ravel Lycée in eastern Paris and a 26-year-old man was arrested for making death threats against the headteacher. Domestic violence survivor reveals how she reacted when she heard her first husband who abused her has died

  A domestic violence victim has revealed how she reacted when she got news that her abusive husband has died. The woman explained on Facebook that she left the man due to his abusive nature and she did not inform him before leaving. She made him believe she was leaving to see her parents and she never went back. She added that after leaving, she burnt her wedding photo, threw her phone in the river, and discarded everything that had to do with the man. She later got married again and welcomed a daughter with a man she says treats her well. She revealed on Facebook that she just got news that her first husband died and her only reply was “K”. She wrote: “so I replied 'K'. turned around and made love to my husband and told him my ex is dead. he laughed and was like I don't have an ex. he's right I don't . that chapter is closed for life..we moved on to greater things.” See her full post below.

Ten year old strangles age mate during an argument on a football pitch in Lagos

  The Lagos state police command has commenced an investigation after a ten-year-old identified as Israel Ogunleye was allegedly strangled by one Evbota Ezekiel, who is also ten years old, in the Ejigbo area of the state on March 28. According to the police, the father of the deceased reported that his son was playing football with some boys at Oluwole Street, Powerline in Ejigbo where his mother's shop is situated. The bereaved father told the police that the boys had an argument and in the process,  Emmanuel allegedly held his son by the neck and strangled him until he died. Police authorities immediately moved to the scene of the incident where they found the boy's body and immediately moved it to the General Hospital Isolo where doctors confirmed him dead on arrival. Ughelli killings: Eight suspects nabbed over gruesome murder of six policemen

  The Nigeria Police Force have arrested eight suspects in connection with the gruesome murder of six policemen in the Ohoro Forest in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State on February 23. The deceased officers identified as Inspector Abe Olubunmi (IRT), Inspector Friday Irorere, Sergeant Kuden Elisha, Sergeant Akpan Aniette, Sergeant Ayere Paul, and Sergeant Ejemito Friday, were ambushed while on a rescue mission. Six other officers are currently missing from the same operation. Nigeria Police Force mourns officers killed in an ambush in Delta state

  The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is mourning six officers who fell victim to a cowardly ambush by armed assailants while undertaking a mission to investigate the disappearance and rescue of three of their colleagues in Ohoro Forest, Delta State. The Force spokesman Olumuyiwa Adejobi said six others are currently missing in action. He also said the NPF is set to honour the slain officers just as the Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun has ordered the immediate payment of the entitlements of the slain officers to their families.   Singer Joshua Iniyezo aka Solidstar has opened up about his journey into drug abuse. While appearing on a podcast recently, Solidstar said he went through a lot while battling with drug abuse. According to him, he was introduced to a banned substance called Ice in 2021. ‘’A lot of things happened to me. Young young boys introduced me to a substance, Ice,'' he said   ‘’This substance affected me a lot'' He stated that the drug influenced him so badly that he was beginning to see himself as ‘’a king'' and that he didn't need to pay for any item he purchased. He said one day he walked from Awoyaya in Lagos Mainland to the Oriental Hotel which is on the Island. Recall that in September 2023, the singer's brother took to Instagram to call on Nigerians to help the singer.

Update: Delta community razed after killing of soldiers

  The Okuama community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State where fifteen soldiers were killed have been razed.    LIB reported that the personnel were ambushed and killed by youths while responding to a distress call during a communal clash between Okuama and Okoloba communities on Thursday, March 14, 2024.   Fourteen bodies of the slain soldiers were recovered in the early hours of Saturday, March 16, by troops of the joint task force under the supervision of the General Officer Commanding 6 division Nigerian Army, Major General Jamal Abdussalam, at Okuama community.    Some of the recovered corpses were said to have been beheaded, while the stomachs and hearts of others were ripped off.   According to Channel Television, there are strong allegations that some angry soldiers may have perpetrated the act after their colleagues were killed.    Meanwhile, manhunt for the killers is still ongoing and some arrests have also been made by the soldiers led by the

  A Nigerian lady who joined her husband in the UK last year, was left in shock after a lady she insisted on renting a room to, got pregnant for her husband.   According to the X user who shared the story online, the woman decided to do more jobs so she could help her husband with his tuition fee. Getting someone to look after their daughter was a problem so she decided to rent a room to a lady who would tend to her daughter when she and her husband went out.  However, s he discovered that her husband who she was toiling hard for to see through school and help with the home bills went astray and got their tenant pregnant.   Read the story below…

  A lady identified as Linda Ihebinike has been arrested after she allegedly attempted to carry out a transaction with fake Naira notes.        Disclosing this to newsmen, the spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the lady was arrested after the vigilant POS operator noticed the fake currencies and raised alarm.     ‘’A vigilant POS operator raised the alarm after a customer, Linda Ihebinike, attempted carrying out a transaction with fake N1000 notes to the tune of N90,000. More than 60 people detained after a gay wedding in southern Nigeria

  ABUJA, Nigeria (AP) — Police in Nigeria said Tuesday they detained at least 67 people celebrating a gay wedding in one of the largest mass detentions targeting homosexuality, which is outlawed in the West African country. The “gay suspects” were arrested in southern Delta state’s Ekpan town at about 2 a.m. on Monday at an event where two of them were married, state police spokesman Bright Edafe told reporters. He said that homosexuality “will never be tolerated” in Nigeria.  Arrests of gay people are common in Nigeria , Africa’s most populous country, where gay people can face up to 14 years in prison under the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act.  Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court has called on all Muslims in the Kingdom to look for the Ramadan crescent moon on Sunday evening. Sunday, March 10, 2024, corresponds to Shaban 29, 1445 in the Islamic calendar. If the Ramadan crescent moon is sighted on Sunday evening, then Ramadan will begin on Monday, March 11.   The FBI has launched an urgent manhunt for an Iranian secret intelligence official accused of plotting to assassinate Trump-era officials.
