Tragedy Strikes Again: Boko Haram Kills 12 in Gwoza, Borno State

In a devastating turn of events, suspected Boko Haram terrorists have claimed the lives of 12 individuals in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

The attacks occurred along Kirawa road and in the Bokko Ghide community of Pulka District. Among the victims were two members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), ambushed on Friday, April 25, 2025. The following day, ten civilians collecting firewood were also ambushed and killed.

His Royal Highness, Alhaji Mohammed Shehu Timta, the Emir of Gwoza, expressed deep concern over the renewed attacks, emphasizing that such incidents could undermine ongoing efforts by the Borno State Government and the military in reconstruction and resettlement initiatives.
